February PHPA - BioSteel Performers of the Month

The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the February 2018 PHPA-BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients from the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL.

Travis Sanheim of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistency demonstrated throughout the month.  The defenseman from Elkhorn, Manitoba recorded 1 goal and 13 assists and was +14 over 12 games during February.  Sanheim also recorded points in 8 consecutive games from February 7 – 21. 

In the ECHL, Jordan LaVallee-Smotherman of the Manchester Monarchs receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play after notching 8 goals and 10 assists for 18 points and a +/- of +8 in 10 games throughout the month of February. LaVallee also picked up his first career ECHL hat-trick during the month and is currently second in ECHL scoring with 61 points in 55 games.

Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout February.
