(St. Catharines, ON) The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hasanen Power Wear.
Founded by long-time Finnish hockey coach Pertti Hasanen, Hasanen Power Wear is an innovative company committed to developing safe and functional weighted training gear and has arguably revolutionized the way in which elite athletes conduct sport and fitness training. The weighted training gear is currently being worn by US College teams, European hockey teams, and a number of current NHL players.
Hasanen developed the pants in close cooperation with top athletes over several years. Since then, the feedback from the field, actual results, and the increasing number of satisfied users have exceeded all expectations.
The Power Wear utilizes the SoftWeight System, which is a two-component weight designed to enhance muscle building in the body’s core, improve strength, power, endurance, flexibility, coordination, balance, agility and speed. The custom-fitted shorts, vests and suits are designed with durable protection to ensure safe and effective training. Hasanen Power Wear products are ideal for functional and sport specific training since they do not restrict normal movement nor do they hinder coordination. The added weight stimulates the exact muscles that are normally used in a sport or activity.
“The weighted training gear has helped professional athletes with their training and development and is a product PHPA Members can use in their training programs as they seek to advance to the next level of the sport,” said Darryl Dionne, Director of Communications and Business Development for the PHPA.
