Hockey Players For Kids

The PHPA’s commitment to community service is shared and demonstrated on a regular basis by many of its members who have also become involved with Hockey Players for Kids (HP4K). HP4K is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, harnessing the leadership and enthusiasm of exceptional people playing pro hockey in communities throughout North America. Created by hockey players and for hockey players, HP4K’s main focus is to positively impact the lives of local children in the cities we live and play in.

The PHPA is assisting HP4K encourage even more professional hockey players to become engaged in their communities during the 2010-2011 season. Stick to Reading is an incentive-based reading competition for elementary and middle school students, and is HP4K’s first signature program offering. Give Moore for the Holidays encourages members to give back in a big way during the holiday season to children and families in need. Both programs are quick, easy, fun and effective ways for pro hockey players to get involved with kids in their communities. We encourage you to check out www.hp4k.org or e-mail dustin.sproat@hp4k.org for more information on how you can start making a difference.
