PHPA

Membership Assistance Program

To help PHPA Members deal with a wide range of personal and work-related problems, the Professional Hockey Players' Association and Warren Shepell have made available the Members Assistance Program (MAP) for all PHPA Members and their families.

To offset the cost of providing this program, the PHPA holds an annual Captain's Club jersey auction where each ECHL team donates a game-worn jersey belonging to their Captain for auction.

Through MAP, those individuals in need are eligible for a wide range of confidential professional support services including:

  • EAP Counselling: Professional employee counseling by phone, by web and in-person. The cornerstone of MAP, EAP counseling is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to address a full range of personal, work-related and behavioural health concerns.
